My name is Ian Moran and I am an Internet, Graphic and Animation Designer with 6 years commercial experience. Originally from England, I have had the good fortune of also been able to experience working in a number of different countries, such as the United States, Central America, and presently Australia. I have a lot of experience with website design, Flash animation, 3D animation (mainly Maya), digital compositing, video special effects, and audio editing.
My creative experiences started back in high school (or secondary school as we called it in England), when I started playing music. A few years later I was playing music professionally, working in sound recording studios, and eventually went on to teach music in local schools for a few years.
After that I decided that I wanted to get back into the creative industry again rather than teaching it, and slowly started to build up my reputation as a designer, mainly working on websites for local musicians and bands. This lead me on a journey of discovery as it developed into a full-time freelance position very quickly. I have branched out into other avenues along the way, focusing on things such as 3D animation, video special effects, working with live video footage, greenscreen keying, digital compositing, and in many cases, meshing it all together to work online as well as offline.
All of this has certainly been a very self-satisfying experience and my enthusiasm and thirst for learning never slows down. I love this industry - and I try to reflect this passion in all of the work that I do.
